Of course it looks OK now, but it is more likely than not that we will be hit with a period of heavy rain during the ride. There are some serious cells in PA approaching Jersey. So the ride is being postponed. Anyone want to take bets that now that we cancelled for today, the storms break up over New Jersey, LOL.

Decision on whether to ride will be issued by 10:00. There is a line of heavy rain cells in PA that are as of now forecasted to hit in early afternoon.

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE: the forecast for the ride tomorrow (Friday) is not good. It is supposed to rain in the morning. Rather than out right cancel, I'm proposing a possible change. Empanada is cancelled and will be rescheduled. For tomorrow (Friday) please check back in the morning. If the weather looks like it will clear, and enough people show interest, we will do a shorter Brooklyn ride. Potential start time 11:30 or maybe Noon depending on weather. Please let me know what you think and if you would likely join for a shorter ride. Lunch location TBD.

Time for a 5BBC out-to-lunch bunch version of our classic spring ride - empanadas. Brooklyn and Queens - we meander from the industrial to the bucolic, from the commercial to the high-end and not-so-high-end residential, plus some cemeteries (it's Queens, after all), a ride by the velodrome and those incredible empanadas in Corona for a late lunch. Bring money for those yummy empanadas along with a lock, the usual 5BBc requirements and an upbeat inquisitive attitude.
