New to Brooklyn or to the 5BBC? Like safe rides with beautiful sites? Need an easy ride to recover from the NYC Century?

Whether you are not a member on your first 5BBC ride; or if you consider yourself a hardened NYC bike-pro, you will love this great 17-mile Happy-Face ride around some of Brooklyn's best bike paths and bike lanes. We start in Prospect Park at 10:00 AM and then tour through scenic areas of Gowanus, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo, Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Bed-Stuy.

95% of the route is on bike lanes, with many protected bike paths, and beautiful waterfront scenery. We will ride the 'Hipster Highway' and meander in beautiful McCarren Park. Lunch will be at Radegast Hall. The ride finishes in the same place as the start, Grand Army Plaza.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Helmet (REQUIRED)

RIDE CANCELLATION POLICY

If there are not actual downpours at 9:30AM (or plagues of locusts), the ride will be on. Not cancelling if there are few drops. We will be at Grand Army Plaza at 10:00AM rain or shine. If there are any serious concerns, will make a determination then. Do check this 5BBC ride page in the morning, just in case; but a cancellation is unlikely.
