Four Reservations
Primary tabs

Straddling New Jersey's Watchung Mountains are a ring of reservations--undeveloped parklands--that make for some great riding with plenty of rolling hills. We'll take the PATH to Newark and visit four of those reservations: Eagle Rock, Hilltop, South Mountain, and Watchung. Approximately 56 miles/2,800 feet of climbs, with a possible side trip to the abandoned 18th c. village of Feltville.
Please be prepared to maintain 16 MPH on the flats; hills are at your own pace, regroup at the top. Lunch in Milburn, NJ after all the climbing is done, then a surprisingly pleasant return route to Newark!
Bring two spare tubes and air supply; water; money for food (or a bag lunch); and a MetroCard/money for the PATH or for trainfare in case the need to bail arises.
Cross-listed as a B-16 ride with the New York Cycle Club.
