Ride the Bronx River Parkway
Primary tabs
Did you know that Westchester County closes the Bronx River Parkway on a number of Sundays over the summertime?
Well, one of our members did and asked us to add a ride to check it out. So this is the first of those rides that we are posting.
Come out for a rare opportunity to ride a parkway normally reserved only for cars! It's a unique experience.
The section itself that is closed off is kind of small, between Scarsdale Road and Westchester County Center, so we have added additional riding from the start point (E 241st/Wakefield Avenue end of the 2 Subway line) up to Kensico Dam (where we will eat lunch we pick up at a White Plains Deli) and back, making this a 25-30 mile ride (precise distance will be posted soon).
We ask that you PLEASE register for this ride so that we can share menu and pre-order information with you (orders will only be confirmed if you show up and pre-pay Sunday morning, REGISTRATION IS NOT A COMMITMENT TO ATTEND. YOU STILL HAVE TOTAL FLEXIBILITY. BUT LETS US MORE DIRECTLY INFORM YOU OF ANY CANCELLATION OR OTHER ISSUES THAT COME UP).
