Let's Get Out Of Town! Take a Choo Choo to Poughkeepsie. Then ride north to the Roosevelt's and Vanderbilts with a side trip to Eleanor's place, Val Kill. It's only about five miles each way. So, we may be able to hit all three spots. We'll take the 7:43 out of the Vanderbilt's gift to NYC, Grand Central Terminal, ride the scenic Hudson River Line with it's magnificent natural and human made views to Poughkeepsie with it's "Walk Over the Hudson" converted railroad bridge.
