COMING FROM THE CITY? PLEASE CATCH THE 8:24AM FROM GRAND CENTRAL OR THE 8:34 FROM 125TH STREET. YOU WILL ARRIVE BY 8:55am AND WE CAN GET A HEAD START ONCE EVERYONE GATHERS
Westchester used to be Farm Country.
Heck, if you go back fur enough (farmer's drawl intentional), so was Brooklyn (shout out to the Going Dutch ride!).
This ride was suggested by Wendy Frank who has promised to grace it with her presence. Her home town this coming weekend is hosting the Antique Engine & Tractor Show (many will be operational, $3 admission fee).
This ride presents an opportunity to ride the Bronx River Parkway, the Bronx River Trail and the North and South County Trailways. It is a long ride if you do it all (32 miles up, 63 miles or so total) It is not that hilly for Westchester actually - the trails are quite flat and I take hills sensitively for all riders. There will be options to take the Metro North back into the city; at Pleasantville just shy of mile 43 on the way back from the show and at White Plains and North White Plains on the way up.
Please register for this ride!
