Let’s take a short journey to Staten Island, to check out its north & central eastern waterfront, from Murray Hilbert Ave. to Great Kills Park. There will be quiet greenways and as well as some rough & busy roads. This will be done at a 10-12mph pace, with occasional stops. We’ll climb a road at Ft. Wadsworth to a hill overlooking New York Harbor. Possible visits to the Ft. Wadsworth Visitor Center and/or local bike shop. We’ll have a nice Sri Lankan lunch before heading back to the ferry. We’ll strive to finish before dark. Bring $ for lunch, a camera, lock and dress warmly for the cold elements. Rain, Snow and/or Ice plus temperatures at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (which is 0 <zero> degrees Celsius) and below cancels. NOTE: at the ferry terminal, we will be subject to canine security screening – please cooperate. PLUS: there is FREE Wi Fi in the terminals and the boats, for your “smart” phone, camera & tablet pleasure.
