This is all new terrain for many of us 5bbcers, so we'll be doing a little bit of everything on this ride, as we wind down for the summer and head into autumn hibernation (at least for New Haven). First, we'll briefly tour some of the older Italian neighborhoods of New Haven and a bit of old Yale (founded in 1704), tossed in, before we head north along the majestic Farmington Canal for a 20-mile meander into rural New England. After, some of us will return to New York on the 5:25PM, but others will stay for “Jazz on the Green” courtesy of the New Haven Jazz Festival and dinner, a la New Haven-style pizza and locally brewed IPAs.
