I've been volunteering to help build ghost bikes for cyclists killed in New York City since 2013. This year, after building the bikes on June 3, I thought it would be great to put together a ride to visit all the sites where cyclists were killed in the past year. That's a pottery big space in New York City, so I created this ride in three parts. One group starts on Claremont Park in the Bronx, visits a ghost bike in Pelham, then rides to Elmhurst to meet the Queens group. That group starts in Cunningham Park, visits a ghost bike in Bayside then rides to Elmhurst to meet the Bronx group. The two groups then visit two more bikes then ride to Bushwick to meet the Manhattan group. The Manhattan group starts in Columbus Circle, visits several bikes in Manhattan then rides to visit a bike on Avenue X in Brooklyn. Then this group rides to Bushwick to meet the other groups. The combined group then rides into Manhattan, visits two cyclist sites, then finished the tie in Columbus Circle.
