Stamford - the back route - one way
Primary tabs

Let’s venture northeast on a very pretty route through the burbs of lower Westchester going into Connecticut. The lovely residential roads with immaculate landscaping just get better and the mansions get larger as we go through the backroads of Greenwich. The hills also get more challenging and I'm not the greatest hill climber, but it's worth it. Lunch is in a deli in Cos Cob, or maybe we find a picnic spot nearby. If we’re lucky we’ll get in to Old Greenwich Point park, a loop on a peninsula sticking out into the Long Island Sound, and end up at Stamford Station. Helmets are required; there will be strict observance of Club riding etiquette. Bring your Metro-North pass and $ for lunch and for the ride home. Cancellation: temps predicted above 90F, or 50% chance of precipitation. Call Maggie after 8 am if in doubt.
