The Eagle Rock Reservation and 9/11 Memorial in West Orange, NJ provides spectacular views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond. We pedal from Newark through the lovely towns of South Orange and Millburn (tarrying at the latter briefly) and Brookside (Mountain reservation) park on the way up to Eagle Rock. After picnic in the sky it's back to Newark via Montclair and Branch Brook Park (Newark's equivalent to Central Park). Meet at Greeley Square (32nd St / 6th Ave) just above 33rd St PATH station. Bring money for PATH and lunch. Cancellation in the event of a prediction of 50% precipitation, excessive wind condition, or excessive heat index.
