Sweets for the sweet, so let's bop around Manhattan hitting some really fun, funny, and wonderful spots that say in their inimitable way - - "Valentine's Day".  Included will be film locations from romantic movies, neat vistas, and special for us . . we'll even get to snuggle in the arms of the giant who loved and held Fay Rey.  Plus what's Valentine's Day without visiting some of THE bestest, iconic, candy stores in NYC.  You'll be surprised at the array and offerings. Our route isn't impressive in mileage but will be wacky, eclectic, and fun. Bring home some sweets for your own sweethearts if you can't have them along on this trip.

Feel free to Velentines-bling up yourself and/or bike . . it's fun, and funny.

Ride starts at Central Park Boathouse (restrooms right there, plus it's near our first stop, the famous Bow Bridge, deemed one of CP's most romantic places). Ride ends in Chinatown. Optional hanging out after that for a quickie street snack of yummy inexpensive dumplings "to go" from a storefront vendor we've visited on repeat at the end of rides and shopping forets. Alternatively, we can opt to go indoors and nosh on something at a nearby tea parlor or restaurant.

Yes, pure urban riding, so be comfy with that, but at least we're in full daylight plus avoiding rush hour traffic. Garb up in comfortable layers for the weather, bring cash in small bills if you want to pop in at some of our in store visits to buy treats, and bring a lock in case we all go in or go to eat after.

Bring the ususals for bike and yourself, wear high viz colors as much as possible, and maybe swap those cleat pedals for flat ones.

No point-drop-sweep, we'll ride as a group. Please be on time and prepared for our start. Also, the mileage is unimpressive, but what the heck ..let's play in our city and we all don't have to do a bike marathon every day..
