Yellow Submarine and Coney Island
Primary tabs

Shipworker Jerry Bianco had a dream. He built a submarine out of spare parts - and was going to raise the Andrea Doria. But alas, when the Quester 1 was launched in 1970, it sank like a stone into the mud and muck of the Coney Island Creek - and there it lies to this day. This ride is really a nice excursion out to Coney Island. Along the way we will stop at the Barkuloo Cemetery - New York's smallest. We will visit Cannonball Park, the Pee Wee and Jackie Robinson Statue, take a ride on the Boardwalk, and come back along America's Oldest Bike Lane. And, what visit to Coney Island would be complete without a stop at Nathans.
This is a Happy Face Ride, but you must be able to keep up a steady 10-12 MPH pace and be comfortable riding in trafficked roads. Please make sure that your bike is in good woking order and take spare tubes. Please check the web site in case of weather for cancellations or delays in start.
This ride was originally scheduled for Saturday and was moved to Sunday owing to the weather. If you are already signed up for a ride on Sunday - please chose which ride you wish to do - and delist yourself from the other ride.
