Forget New Year's Day!  We can do a Polar Bear ride now in April.  Start from the Little Red Lighthouse, we ride up the series of hills to the GW Bridge, across and into NJ.  We ride to Churchill Road, where we ride up and down it 4 times, then along the coast South to the Jersey shore.  While going down we indiscriminately turn left and pedal one half mile out then one half mile back in.  After drying our bikes, we continue on, turning left any time a rider shouts "POLAR BEAR" until we are shivering so hard we can no longer pedal.  Once we have reached that state, we stop for a healthy lumch along the boardwalk, eating an apple to keep the doctor away, before heading north and back to our start point.
