This weekend the Friends of Monmouth Battlefield are doing their annual reenactment of the Battle of Monmouth.  Seems like a good excuse for a bike ride to me!

We will meet at Penn Station (southwest corner, in front of the NJ Transit ticket windows) at 8:45 in order to take the 9:14 to Princeton Junction (NE Corridor line).  In order to get to the meeting spot enter Penn Station at the corner of 31st St and 8th Ave and take the escalator down.

Buy a ticket to Princeton Junction as soon as you get to Penn Station.

If you want to board the train at a different point or drive to the starting point at the Princeton Junction station please contact the ride leaders.

The train is scheduled to arrive at 10:26 which should give us plenty of time to ride the 23 miles to  Monmouth Battlefield with a lunch stop along the way.  The reenactment is scheduled to start at 1:30.

Bring the usual: $ for train ticket, face mask, lunch or $ for lunch, bungee cords (for the train), spare tubes, pump, etc.

Please do your own two minute bike check before leaving home in the morning.  It would suck to arrive at Princeton Junction to only realize then that you have a problem with your bike.

It should go without saying but I have to say it anyway: ONLY REAL BICYCLES!! No motorbikes.
