The weather this week looks problematic, but Thursday looks like the best day, play hooky and join Teresa and I as we do a ride in close in Nassau County.  Those who have done variations of this know parts of the ride are quite scenic with some outrageous homes  

This is an easy midweek ride a flat ride about 40 miles with no grade greater than 1.6%. Nonetheless, it is an advanced moderate ride where you need to maintain at least 14mph on flats. The ride meanders at times so we won't always being doing a full pace, but there will be times when we will.  

The ride starts at 10:00 AM at the Country Life Press LIRR station. A train from the City arrives at 9:54.  Parking is easy near the station, but during the week, you must park a few blocks away and ride to the start.

Normally, we would stop and pick up lunch, but under the current circumstances, please bring your lunch, snacks and sufficient hydration, as it is very unlikely that we will stop to pick up food.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride.  Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot.  All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.

THE RISK INVOLVED IN ANY ACTIVITY ON THE RIDE IS ASSUMED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL RIDER.
