Join us for a ride from Queens College to Long Island City/Astoria.  We will do a riverfront ride in LIC.  One highlight is the Hunters Point Park pier with 270 degree views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.  We will pass the iconic Pepsi-Cola sign, which is now a NYC landmark.  Astoria features 100+ Welling Court  street murals.  see link.  (We will ride through 7 parks and you will be quizzed on the names.)

LIC lunch around 1 pm.  Food Cellars offers many choices at reasonable prices. Outdoor tables with public restrooms nearby.  Let me pleasantly surprise you!                         On the loopback, your option for additional sweet calories and coffee/tea from Martha's Country Kitchen on Ditmars in Astoria.  Yes, indulge!

This is ride is rated Happy Face @ 25 miles distance, pace @10 mph, 600k elevation.  60% urban street bike lanes, 40% park greenways.  

The start location is in the vicinity of Queens College.  Exact details for start location, leader info, and RWG will be emailed to 'complete' ride registrants WED evening before the ride.  Wait listed registrants will be duly notified by email if their status has been changed to 'complete' and provided ride details.
