We’ll be fighting off the winter blues with a ride through Westchester. We will start at the Larchmont train station before meandering on mostly low traffic roads north to the Westchester Airport, where we can pretend we are going somewhere warmer. From the airport we will be looping back south past Purchase Community College, potentially finding outside food near mile 20. After lunch we will find our way back to Larchmont train station.

As this is an off-season ride expect the speed to be more around 10-12 mph, and consistent hills to keep everyone’s heart pumping. 

While the plan is to stop for a lunch and eat outside close to Purchase with Omicron and various closures be prepared with snacks in case we need to go back to Larchmont without stopping for food. Bring cash and a mask as we are not sure what restaurant policies will be. 

If you’re arriving via Metro North, there is a train departing Grand Central at 9:05am, arriving at 9:44 am. Please use the bathrooms on the train before arrival.

For those driving, please park near the Larchmont Train station and be ready to go when the train folks arrive.

If we need to cancel due to weather we will push it to a following Saturday. 

A Ride with GPS link will be provided the day before the ride to registered folks.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. If you do not feel well the day before or the day of the ride, PLEASE unregister. All riders should come equipped with a mask (especially on public transit and when required by local regulations. N95, KN95, KF94 (or equivalent) masks are preferred), hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube and tire levers, snacks, full water bottles, a tail light and headlamp in case we need them, and a bike in good condition. Appropriate winter attire is needed as well.
