I.K.E.A. on a cold winter's day (well, hopefully not too cold.) Anyhow, do join us on a snappy out-and-back ride to IKEA in Hicksville, LI. Leaving from Cunningham Park the route will be roughly 35 miles roundtrip, mostly flat (relative term), with a quick turnaround at the point of interest. Pace will be 15-16 on the flats with an insistence that you be able to maintain the minimum. More importantly, do know this will be a true scout ride. What does that mean you ask? You will be essentially scouting the ride with me. Thus, only adventurous spirits need apply as there could be a few oops! or two or, more excitedly, new discoveries along the way.

Why IKEA you ask? Because I like their salmon sandwiches and salad. However, there will be no indoor dining. We will use the break to pick up food to-go, bio break, and or snack on nourishment then back on the saddle we go (it is winter, you know.) Rain at start, high winds, and or frigid temps (threshold yet to be determined) may cancel.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: Please 'unregister' if you cannot make the ride so waitlisted folks can move up and take the slot. If you do not feel well the day before or the day of the ride, PLEASE unregister. All riders should come equipped with a masks, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube and tire levers, snacks, full water bottles, a tail light and headlamp in case we need them, and a bike in good working condition. Appropriate winter attire is needed as well.
