Montauk Metric Century Postponed and Modified - Now Southfork Magic V3
Primary tabs
Due to the confluence of a few things, we will not be doing the Montauk Metric Century Plus afterall. Instead we will be doing a somewhat shorter, but absolutely gorgeous ride on the Southfork that will go by some magical scenic and extremely high end places, many of which would not be on the Montauk ride. Ride will be almost 45 very scenic miles. The ride includes some favorites areas and roads, but also brings you to some new and incredible homes, dead ends and beaches with some excellent overall riding. So, take a daytrip vacation away from the City and join us for a tour around Bridgehampton, East Hampton and hamlets in between. We have sections of really nice riding, but we also have a number of stops (mostly in the beginning of the ride) to go ohhh and ahhh. The ride is accessible by either car or public transportation. Ride starts and ends at the same location.
Normally, we would stop and pick up lunch, but under the current circumstances, please bring your lunch, snacks and sufficient hydration, as it is very unlikely that we will stop to pick up food. Also, please be sure to eat a good breakfast and have snacks as a lunch stop may be late. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride and that the exact start location will be forwarded to the registered riders. Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
