It’s January, and cold outside! Shall we just stay home where it’s cozy? Nah, come on, we’re going on a really short ride to a gem of a museum. You’ll like it!

Isamu Noguchi  was a  Japanese American sculptor and landscape architect. For some of his best-known public works, see here https://www.noguchi.org/artworks/public-works/ His former studio in Long Island City is now a museum.

The museum is using timed entry due to COVID, so after registering for the ride you should PURCHASE YOUR OWN TICKET ONLINE Adults $10, Seniors $5: https://tickets.noguchi.org/products/general-admission Get the 10:00am admission on January 22. No, we won’t get there by 10:00; our ETA is noon, which is fine with them; we plan to stay until 1:00pm

We do not have a stop planned to buy snacks, so please bring snacks to hold you.

ALL CLUB COVID RULES WILL APPLY so maximum 8 + 2 leaders per ride and you must have masks with you and maintain 6 feet distance at stops.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS: you must register for the ride and the exact start location (in Manhattan) will be emailed to the registered riders the day before the ride.  Please 'unregister' if you cannot make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot.  All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.

This is a Happy Face ride, but you must be able to maintain an average pace of no less than 10 mph. Dress for the weather, and check the website for any cancellations/updates the night before/early morning of the ride; if there is a blizzard, this ride’s a no-gochi!
