A lovely jaunt from the Westbury Train Station (we'll meet by the station in the southside parking lot) to Centre Island near Bayville for a look at the Sound and a foray into the exclusive community of Centre Island just to make sure the rich and famous (we're looking at you Billy Joel)  are doing okay. The forecast is currently for temps in the high 40's and there will be a couple of ascents to keep us warm. Take advantage of this relatively mild weather to stretch your legs and get a few more miles into your 2019 total. This is a point-drop-sweep ride but we're going to try to ride as a group b/c it's just too cold for anyone to be sitting still as a drop for too long. Please be sure you can maintain 14 mph on the flats.

Bring tubes, snacks, water, and an extra tube. Check website on morning of, just in case the weather turns iffy.

Train Info:

From Penn Station: 9:21am Huntington. Arrive at Westbury at 10:04am

From Atlantic Terminal: 9:22am to Far Rockaway, change at Jamaica for the above Huntington train. (According to the Schedule it's a 2 min transfer so you will want to ask the conductor which track the Huntington train will be on)

From Nostrand Ave: 9:29am train (same one as the one from Atlantic above, same transfer.
