On the far side of JFK there are the tiny Queens neighborhoods, if you can call them that, of Warnerville [two streets] and Meadowmere [a booming four streets].  We also cross a tiny footbridge to an island in Jamaica Bay that is the Nassau County hamlet of Meadowmere Park.  This area of the City feels cut off from the world - and yet is just minutes from the bustling Rockaway Turnpike.  Our lunch stop is the delicious Bay House, a 5BBC favorite.  On a good day the planes fly right overhead, so close that you can read the pilot's name tag.  This ride is for experienced urban cyclists, as Brookville Boulevard [Snake Road] and Rockaway Parkway are not for the feint of heart.  Join us on this interesting ride.
