A slow spin is a steady pace that doesn't bust it for you. We'll be riding some lovely flat coastal routes, across five bridges (or causeways) with a breakfast stop at My Kitchen Witch Cafe in Monmouth Beach (the french toast and pancakes are fantastic!), another (quick) stop at Booskerdoo Roastery for their signature Black and Tan coffee, then onto the Highlands, for a spectacular view of the coastline (if we decide to climb). This is a short 25-mile ride and slightly off-season, so expect cool ocean breezes and moderate to low traffic. When we last visited, l was at the rustic eatery, the Navasink Country Store. Under new owners, it's called Big Mike's Little Red Store --a bit unscale, but still worth a try.
