High Bridge
Primary tabs

This ride is instead of the Hartsdale ride which has been postponed to Saturday, April 7. I postponed the Hartsdale ride because as of today there are still slippery conditions on the untreated greenways in Westchester. Don't want any of you to wipe out on black ice. If you signed up for Hartsdale and still want to do the ride on April 7th, I request that you sign up again on that date.
The Manhattan greenways, however, should be fully melted by now. So, in lieu of Hartsdale, let's do a short 10-mile happy-face ride across the new "Denny Farrell" 153rd St. bridge and through Highbridge Park to the recently renovated High Bridge that used to carry water into New York from the Croton Reservoir and now carries pedestrians and cyclists. On the way back we may stop at Grant's Tomb to see who is buried there.
Start time and place: Saturday, March 24th, 9:30, Dinosaur Playground, 97th Street & Riverside Drive. We should be finished back at Dinosaur Playground before lunchtime.
