A 50-mile moderately hilly ride in New Jersey followed by a free film screening at the New York Bicycle Film Festival. Starting from Columbus Circle, we'll cross the George to catch the Saddle River Bike Path to Patterson Falls National Historic Park, stop by Bromilow's for some delicious homemade chocolates, then onto Montclair and Branch Brook Park to catch the PATH back to the WTC/NYC station. Then it's just a few miles up the east side to Anthology Film Archive at Second Avenue & Second Street, home of the New York Bicycle Film Festival. 

The first 15 people registered for the ride on the club website will get free tickets to Program 11 at the Festival, compliments of the Law Office of Vaccaro and White.  The films shown are listed here.

Just to be clear, you don't have to register on the website to do the ride.  You also don't have to go to the movie to do the ride.  And if you can't make it to the ride but would like to see the movie, please join us at the Festival (tickets are available for purchase here).  But if you want a free ticket, you have to be one of the first fifteen people registered for the ride on the website and actually do the ride! (If you are one of the first fifteen registered but you can't make the movie, please let the ride leaders know by email so we can extend the ticket to another rider).

We expect to get to the Festival location in the East Village at approximately 7 pm, where the ride will officially end.  The Film Festival offers free bike valet parking, and there are many fine restaurants in the area.  The film screening starts at 9:00 p.m.and ends at about 10:30 p.m.

Please bring two spare tubes and an air supply; Metrocard and cash for the PATH and chocolates; water bottles and your helmet.
