NYC Chinatowns and DIM SUM
Primary tabs

We love the NYC Chinatowns for the cheap foods, unknown smells, Chinese operas on the weekends, and the fake Gucci bags for a bit more than a dime. But what about the hidden sweat shops, the tea rooms, and their history? Explore the streets of New York’s 3 Chinatowns: Manhattan, Flushing, and Sunset Park and indulge in Dim Sum in Dykers Heights.
Due to the late lunch, there will be two short snack & water stops at 10 and 20 miles. Lunch (Dim Sum) will be at the East Harbor Seafood Palace, at 32 miles & close to end of the ride (in case we eat way too much and want to go home for a nap afterwards). Depending on time, pace, etc we may skip the 20 mile stop.
Make sure you snack because we may also have to wait up to 1 hour to get in for Dim Sum. Dim Sum places do not take group reservations!
Make sure to BRING CASH ($20) for Dim Sum, if you need a fake Gucci make sure you bring $$$$$. Bring a lock and bike lights. We aim to be home before sunset, but rather be safe as it will depend when we get out of Dim Sum.
This 43 mile or so ride is going through a few heavy traffic roads in Manhattan and Flushing. We conquer two bridges (Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridge), and ride at a medium pace of 13 to 15 miles/per hour .
Snack/Lunch Stops:
Starbucks: 10.2 mile
McDonald’s & DD: 23.5 mile
East Harbor Seafood Palace: 35 mile
Start Time: 9AM at City Hall.
