Ride being Postponed -Possibility of Thunderstorms - See Below
Friday, July 22, 2016 - 18:45

FRIDAY LATE AFTERNOON UPDATE:  We have decided to postpone the ride and cancel it tonight.  There are just too many unpleasant variables.  The various weather models put the possibility of severe thunderstorms from a low of 30% to a high of 70% with the possibility of hail and serious wind gusts. Plus, we have an air quality alert and the temperature at the start will be over 90. Safety first, we will relist this ride in August, this is a fun ride, lets opt for better weather, especially given that there are limited bailout options near Jordan's.  Look for a new listing once Ken and I finalize options.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE:  I'm not sure who might be intending to join the ride tonight, but I am torn about the ride.  As of now, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, which may be severe.  Operative word is possibility, it isn't definite, but if it occurs, it is likely to occur during the ride and the ride does not have easy bailouts at all times.  Oh, and I can't get my son Brian's opinion, he is moving today ( he is a meteorology student). I will try to decide by 4:30. Check back here before heading out.

Get out your front and rear lights for another Friday night ride meandering around Brooklyn.  This time we will work up a little appetite and then head to Sheepshead Bay and the Clam Bar plus at Jordan's Lobster Dock.  Please be on time, as we will be leaving GAP at 7:00.  Front and rear lights are required, as is a fun inquisitive attitude and a yearning for some tasty seafood. The ride will end at the southern tip of Prospect Park, but usually plenty of folks head back to GAP.
