We know the "Lady in the Harbor", a gift from the people of France. But, what about the other gift from a people who wanted express their sorrow for our tragic event on September 11, 2001. They too have felt the sting of a terrorist attack on their soil. So, on a beautiful clear day, Bill Clinton and Vladimir Putin, dedicated a spiring memorial to the lost souls of that tragic day. Like the French gift, it stands two miles off shore. But, don't worry. We can and will ride our bikes there. On our way, we'll stop at statue to Jackie Robinson, ride down JFK Boulevard, stop at a statue Lincoln in Lincoln Park and go through another park and real Home Town USA. After the Memorial, we lunch in an American invention, a diner. Smell pancakes? Maybe. Or anything else like apple pie. On our way back, we'll pay our respects to Statue of Liberty, think about our ancestors as we pass Ellis Island. And more stuff as we trundle home.
