On The Waterfront - Brooklyn Shores
Primary tabs

Where there once was industry, ferries and grit - now parks arise. The ghosts of longshoremen being replaced by hipsters, tourists and youth soccer. An occasional tug boat connecting us with the past. We visit the just opened Bush Terminal Park. From there we ride around the waterfront taking in Valentino Pier, Erie Basin Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Grand Ferry Park, Bushwick Inlet Park, Transmitter Park and finally, we come to the one and only Nature Walk. In the words of Bob Castro, "only in New York would this be called nature." Lunch is at the end of the ride - but it is always best to be hungry when visiting the Polish Slavic Center for some hearty East European comfort food.
